Gibson’s New Signature Guitar Inspired by Marty McFly
Gibson recently released indications of what may be a new signature guitar inspired by the instrument used by Marty McFly.
New Guitar Features
In a recent post, CEO Cesar Gueikian shared images of ES-345 models lined up, featuring a Cherry Red finish complemented by aged hardware. This visual aesthetic closely resembles that of the guitar depicted in the film. The model includes distinct features such as the Varitone selector and a unique inlay at the 12th fret, which is a notable characteristic of the guitar used by McFly.
Accessibility and Pricing
Gueikian has also positively responded to requests for more affordable versions of this new model, including a potential Epiphone variant. This has generated heightened expectations regarding the launch of options at varying price points. The initiative is part of the Lost to the Future campaign, a project by Gibson aimed at rediscovering the original ES-345 used in the film, which has been missing for decades.
If confirmed, the Marty McFly Signature guitar promises to bring together fans of both guitar music and the Back to the Future franchise for a nostalgic release that is technically faithful to the original.
